Air Conditioning System Maintenance & Repair

Generating cold air on the spot seems simple enough because the system works as expected most of the time. Rest assured that the air conditioning system is also susceptible to wear and tear, and you can expect it to require attention depending upon the intensity/severity of use. When your car’s air conditioner begins losing integrity with hotter air exiting the vents; or worse, the air isn’t being cooled at all, you’ll need an A/C service to fix it. A/C service begins with an inspection and can then move forward with the maintenance needed to restore peak performance.

A/C Refrigerant Recharge

A/C requires a pressurized refrigerant called freon that comes in various forms depending upon your Nissan’s model year. It is susceptible to leaking from loose connections and damaged parts. If it leaks, more refrigerant needs to be installed, which is called A/C recharge service. We will also inspect the system for the cause of leaks, and make repairs as needed to close the system.

Compressor Repairs

The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant necessary to remove heat from the air. It receives energy from the drive belt at a pulley with an internal bearing that can wear out. We can repair this bearing/pulley, but with enough use, the compressor itself will need replacement service.

Condenser Cleaning/Repair

The condenser can get clogged with debris and get damaged. If caught before the damage is too significant, we can clean the condenser to restore performance by removing the blockage. We can also replace damaged condensers with original equipment parts.

Electrical Repair

The A/C is an electrical system with fuses, wires, and blower motor needed to function properly. We can provide the A/C system with any electrical repairs that it might need.
